Our clients include nonprofit associations, solopreneurs, and small businesses, and are located all around the world. While our largest presence is in the Madison area, because of a great referral system we also have clients internationally and in a wide variety of industries.
The ideal Social Media Strategist is someone who enjoys supporting multiple clients within a wide range of industries. We require a high level of professionalism and only the best customer service for our clients. A background in journalism or experience in ghostwriting a plus! This position requires someone who is able to work with a wide range of personalities in order to successfully create a strategic social media outreach plan to achieve the goals of each client. The ability to research and create valuable, insightful and relevant content a must. Seeking a results driven and confident individual who places communication as a top priority. The applicant must have the ability to self-manage and work independently while hitting each and every deadline.
About the Position
IMPACT Social Media Strategists communicate with clients regularly in order to develop and evaluate online campaigns. The Strategist is responsible for using the needs and wants of the clients to create content in a monthly editorial calendar. Communication is key when finalizing content and making edits with clients. The Strategist is responsible for implementing content through several social media platforms including Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Pinterest, Google+, etc. This may also include the initial set up of profiles. Strategists are also responsible for creating, sending and evaluating the success of e-newsletters, blogs, press releases or articles for clients.
This is an Independent Consultant position, hours are based on the project size and number of clients you choose to take. All Consultants start at part time hours. Contracted, consistent full time hours are not guaranteed in this position.
Desired Qualifications & Experience:
- Possesses an understanding of social media marketing, campaign management and optimization
- Demonstrates strategic insight to develop long term execution plans from client’s objectives
- Develops workable editorial plans with realistic timetables and deadlines
- Maintains excellent writing and language skills
- Provides recommendations on how clients can best leverage new tools and services
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Advertising or Business preferred
- Monitors the latest trends in social media, including advertising formats, channels and technologies in order to improve campaign performance
